Bayer e Arvinas anunciam joint venture para criar produtos agrícolas

A biofarmacêutica norte-americana Arvinas anunciou nesta terça-feira, dia 4, parceria com a Bayer para criar uma joint venture e produzir novos produtos agrícolas. A intenção é usar uma tecnologia licenciada pela Arvinas que permite a remoção de proteínas específicas. Ela seria utilizada para desenvolver soluções de proteção para lavouras.

Segundo a Arvinas, a Bayer já garantiu US$ 55 milhões para financiar o empreendimento, cujo controle será dividido meio a meio entre as empresas.

Como parte do acordo, a Bayer comprará aproximadamente 1,35 milhão de ações da companhia a US$ 24,14 cada uma, totalizando US$ 32,5 milhões.
