Carnes: ‘Peste suína africana e coronavírus podem beneficiar Brasil’

Países asiáticos tem grande interesse em carne suína brasileira, afirma ex-vice-presidente do Conselho Nacional de Pecuária de Corte

Nos últimos 15 dias, 368 novos surtos de peste suína africana foram notificados, de acordo com o último relatório da Organização Mundial para Saúde Animal (OIE). Segundo o documento, 23 países notificaram novos casos, sendo 12 na Europa, 9 na Ásia e 2 na África.

Esse cenário, atrelado à expansão do novo coronavírus no mundo que reduz a mão de obra por causa do isolamento social, vai beneficiar o setor de proteína animal do Brasil, afirma o ex-vice-presidente do Conselho Nacional de Pecuária de Corte (CNPC) Sebastião Guedes.

Segundo o especialista, pode-se esperar uma alta na demanda de carne suína no Brasil. “Esse grande mercado brasileiro se destaca na produção de suínos e vai ter boas chances de fornecer carne principalmente para a China e outros países da Ásia”, diz.

Em relação ao segundo semestre, Sebastião acredita que temos que ser positivos já que a carne suína é a mais consumida no mundo inteiro.
