Foram encontradas 14 ovelhas mortas em Valparaíso de Goiás, no Entorno do Distrito Federal, causando prejuízo financeiro que chega a R$ 15 mil. Fazendeiros suspeitam que uma onça tenha atacado, na madrugada de terça-feira (06), no setor de chácaras Parque Marajó.

Um caseiro que trabalha na região disse ter visto de duas a três onças rondando a região. Segundo os relatos, foram ouvidos barulhos na região durante a madrugada, por volta das 3h, mas os moradores não saíram de suas casas por medo. De manhã, as ovelhas, que estavam presas, foram encontradas mortas.

Existe uma mata fechada atrás de onde os animais estariam, e, de acordo com as autoridades, as onças teriam saído de lá.
