ABCZ e Apex renovam convênio do BCG

Programa exportou mais de US$ 420 milhões em tecnologias genéticas baseadas no gado zebu brasileiro em 2014

A Associação Brasileira dos Criadores de Zebu (ABCZ) e a Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos (Apex) renovaram o convênio do Brazilian Cattle Genetics (BCG).

A iniciativa foi responsável pela exportação de mais de US$ 420 milhões em tecnologias genéticas baseadas no gado zebu brasileiro em 2014.

O programa tem por objetivo difundir a genética zebuína brasileira para outros países tropicais, cujas condições climáticas são semelhantes às do Brasil e onde a raça se adapta facilmente.

Em nota, o superintendente do projeto, Juan Lebron, afirma que para cada dólar investido pela Apex no convênio BCG resultou em retorno de US$ 795,05 para o País. O projeto conta com mais de dez anos de atuação e 57 empresas associadas.
