De acordo com o ministério, há outras oito investigações em andamento, com coleta de amostra e sem resultado laboratorial conclusivo

O Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária (Mapa) informou nesta segunda-feira (12) que um novo foco de influenza aviária de alta patogenicidade (IAAP, vírus H5N1) em ave silvestre foi detectado no Brasil. O caso foi registrado em São João da Barra, no Rio de Janeiro. No total, há 31 casos da doença em aves silvestres no país.

De acordo com o ministério, há outras oito investigações em andamento, com coleta de amostra e sem resultado laboratorial conclusivo.

As notificações em aves silvestres não comprometem o status do Brasil como país livre de IAAP e não trazem restrições ao comércio internacional de produtos avícolas brasileiros, conforme prevê a Organização Mundial de Saúde Animal (OMSA).
