Esgoto urbano contamina os rios muito mais que o agro, diz pesquisador

Fábio Sussel, do Instituto da Pesca, afirma que, em São Paulo, apenas 50,3% dos dejetos são tratados

Às margens do rio Mogi-Guaçu, o repórter Tobias Ferraz conversa com Fábio Sussel, zootecnista e pesquisador do Instituto da Pesca. Segundo ele, em vez de se preocupar com o agronegócio, os preservacionistas deveriam olhar com mais atenção para o esgoto urbano. “Estamos em São Paulo, o estado com maior densidade demográfica e renda. E aqui só 50,3% do esgoto é tratado. O resto vai direto pro rio”, diz ele.
